Shark River Inlet

I have a few questions about fishing in this area, maybe someone can help?  As a shore-bound angler, what are my best options there?  Is parking going to be a huge problem?  Besides the jetty walls, will I be able to fish the surf from either Avon or Belmar?  Now that it's the summer season, I'm not sure what the rules are as far as fishing goes and the local websites weren't very helpful, either.

I am from manasquan but i am around that area alot.  From my understanding, the seawalls are always open, as well as the western portion of the jetties.  The Northward-pointing extension of the North jetty is open so long as you dont cast at the people, and the rest if the East part of that jetty is open on either side.  I don't know about the Belmar side.

It appears I'll be spending the day with the wife's family in that area this weekend. 
Anyone else have info?  Fishing from shore or maybe even crabbing.

I always see guys fishing both north and south jetties. I have seen some keeper fluke caught, but mostly sea robins and grass.

Wish I could be more helpful. I have not done any fishing there myself, but that is my observations on the inlet fishing.

You can fish off the jetties on either side but it is always crowded.  You could park by L Street Beach on 35 and fish off the new dock there. 

I think your best bet would be to rent a boat from fishermans den and fish the Inlet.  I fished my dinghy twice with my 2 girls.... each time only 2 hrs and caught lots of fluke.  The only problem is all were short....mostly 16" If you put time in you will get keepers.  But it hasn't been much better outside either.
