I've got the blue fish blues
« on: June 01, 2008, 06:39:59 PM »
Second weekend in a row that I caught nothing but  blue fish. Better than getting the skunk but there gettin old.. Took a ride up the Arthur Kill to Newark Bay in hopes of finding bunker breaking water. Nothing happening so headed to the triangle. Wind started kicking so I had to think quick. Punched a whole in my five gallon bucket, tied a rope to it and threw it overboard. Worked perfect. Didn't help us catch any fish though. I think I'm calling Atlantic Towers tomorrow to set up an appt to have a Trampoline T-Top installed. I need something to get out of the sun a little and don't want a bimini. They made me a pretty good deal and I've heard nothing but good things about them. Hope everyone had a safe and good day of fishing. Back at it next weekend hopefully.

Just throw on some stretch 25's or Rapala X-Rap 30 and troll between 5 to 7 mph in the channels. All the blues you could ask for. I never thought you could catch fish trolling that fast. Seems like the faster I go the more fish we catch. Try it...It's a blast.
