What's that used for? (don't say anchoring)!
PS - That's what that part of the alphabet would look like if there where no Q or R.

Anchoring............  ;)

To a wreck..  then when your ready to leave  you pull it real hard or use the boat. and the rebarb will bend , freeing your Anchor.

So they say....

Give a shout to Capt Joe at Pappa's Angels charters, he is making and selling wreck anchors, does a good job. ;D ;D and a good fair price $25.

Also a tip for the wreck anchor, attach your anchor rode to the down end (below the grapple) run the line up the anchor shaft and zip tie your rope to the top. When you go to unanchor the zip tie breaks causing the pull to be on the bottom of the anchor and it flips right out.... ;) ;D ;)

Great idea!

I can make one of these for anyone who wants one. Give me a call, 908-265-9394, stop by my shop in Sayreville and bring the materials. Take me 15 min or so and bring a 6 pack. Done deal. Always looking to help out.

Definitely use a chain. It will help keep the anchor scope down plus it will lessen the chance of chaffing your anchor line on the rocks and other debris that you will be anchoring in.

Read my post in tog fishing tips its a grapple and I explain how to use it properly
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

I don't use a chain for a couple reasons one if you really get it stuck and have to cut the line your not loosing the chain also. Two havint the rope tied direct gives you a little more feel/ stretch if you have to work it out of the snag, and three sometimes its hard to get it to hold when you have the chain on it runs into to bottom first sometimes causing the grapple to bounce and not grab bottom, that's what works for me.
