so im off on mondays and wed. and also out of work by 3:30 on sundays..so if anyone in the keyport to a/highlands area is looking for someone to join them on a fluke trip ,im available.lol..im a chef by trade so i can bring food and drink,and ill even pay for bait,i jus love fluke fishin and wanna go..if not does anyone know of any party boats that go out on sunday afternoons for fluke?? thanks for listening to me ..lol..matt.

I would have to agree.  If you want to hit the beach (IBSP) some day I'm up for a beach cook out.  We usually do that on Sundays with the family.  Coleman and portable grill to the rescue.  Man everything tastes great when done on the beach.

My son & I fish this boat often on their magic hour (5-9PM) trips. They're located right up Rt 35 from Keyport in Morgan Creek.

Seriously, I really like this party boat. Family owned/operated. Great captain(s) & crew. Family oriented. Doesn't really get that crowded & they catch fish. I've been fishing this boat for years. One of the better kept secrets on the bay.

FYI, the Capt. John party boat located in Keyport also does 5-9PM fluke trips Wednesday-Saturday  (www. captainjohnsfishing .com). Another party boat that I like

Misty Morn is $38 (rod rental extra) for an adult + $2 for the pool. Sometimes there is a side $5- $10 pool.

I think the Captain John is a little more.

Same as they charge for any other person (may have discounts based on age level), but you should not expect him to ride for free (whether he fishes or not).

If he is going, might as well try to get him into fishing.  I am quite sure the mates will help out with that 9especially on a non railed boat) and most certainly if you kick them a few $$ when you get on and explain it his his 1st time on boat and fishing.

I agree with Mboy Matt.  Why not have your boy fish too?  Eight is not too young to fish from a party boat.  That is, unless he just isn't interested. 

Fluke fishing from a party boat is one of the easiest ways to fish.  All he has to do is drop down and reel up.  And just wait until you see the expression on his face if he should hook into something!

let me clarify a little for all..he does fish,we fish freshwater all the time and hes good at it..what i meant was he has never been on a boat and i wasnt sure if there were different pricing for kids and adults thats all..thanks for the input guys...

You might want to look at giving him bonine as a preventative measure... they have a children's version of it now as well, but if you can't find that the regular version will do the trick my 13 year old has been taking it for 3 years whenever we go out...
