Sandy Hook 6/12
« on: June 12, 2008, 10:52:26 PM »
It was such a nice day, I decided to take a 1/2 day at work and make my way out to SH for an afternoon.  I got there around 3:30, just about high tide.  For the next few hours, I worked my way S from Fisherman's Beach.  Tried a wide variety of artificials today.  Metals, plastics, topwater.  Nothing.

Looked like the guys fishing bait were getting pestered by the sea robins.  Couple guys had 'em stacked up like cordwood.

Beautiful day, although the water was chocolate milk looking from all the algae.  Got the skunk, again, but at least I went out and tried a new area.

My first fish still eludes me...

Ah, don't let the skunk disappoint you, it will happen for you, besides a half day off on a day such as today, makes you realize what life should be all about, LOL. You'll get one, keep plugging away at it. Good Luck.

Good effort Ash. Your time will come. Just getting out on a good weather day like yesterday is awesome, and a new location to boot.  t^
