6-18 stormy night

Should have known that the night would be bad from the start. First I pulled up to the fuel dock and handed over 240$ to try to top off the tank and realized they raised the prices 20 cents since last Fri...Then after throwing the net 15 times I finally get some bunker and as I'm pulling the net up from the gunnell, the final heave ho, I go over. Luckily I get a good twist and 1 guy reaches out and grabs me so I'm only in up to my thighs. Thank goodness the water was warm. So we take off down towards the shore and hit rollers the entire way. crap is flying all over no matter what the speed. We found no bunker and saw no marks and went all the way to asbury. then the dark clouds came...WTF...Can't I catch a break!   So the storm rolles over us and a couple other boats with no trouble other than some racing hearts. after the storm we managed 1 bass on a head at 36"....He didn't put up a fight at all. We stopped at the sh rips for a few drifts but of course, lots of marks but no takers.
Here are a few pics of the clouds. The pics dont really show the colors. This storm head was black with lightning laced all over it.

Great pictures, too bad the walk on water trick did not work out but the catch was something. 5hrug

Eagleyankeefan and I were out there too. Managed 2 and a keeper fluke.  We were fishing a small pod when a very unprofessional charter boat capt. parked on them.  Turned into a shouting match between Tony and him.  Guy was a real jerk.  The guys on the jetty were screamin at him to get off the pod, but he just kept at it.

Just shows that any body who wants to spend the $ on the course can qualify for a license. With the quality of graduates, it is getting to be a farce anymore.

I have seen too many 'licensed captains' do stupid things out there.   nosmly rgmn rgmn

it's the same out there for all professions that require a license,schooling is just tutoring for you to pass the test,all is taught is the answers to any possible question that might be on the test,have all the answers but not a understanding of what's going on ,went thru it in my profession,had license requirements.thats life
