catfish's fluke report 6-24
« on: June 24, 2008, 03:21:08 PM »
big day on board the MISFIT today ,we had hopes to hit the 100 keeper mark yesterday but fell one short so we knew it was gonna be today ,scrubby and I headed back to the area we had them in yesterday and it only took a couple min. to hook the 100th keeper. After that it was tough conditions the west wind wouldnt let us hold bottom w/ our bucktails so I power drifted ,I was quick to drop a keeper and scrubby followed up by dropping a big fish half way up {he drops one per trip now} .we decided to make a long run and try to hide from the winds and it payed off we had non stop shorts and some keepers mixed in ,there were pods of bunker along the beach getting pushed and I hooked a monster of a fish that almost spooled me before breaking my 2 lb dia. line ,we were gonna try another spot but the lighting bolts were comming down pretty good so we called it a day and ran in wide open in the rain  to find saftey ,we ended the day w/ 6 keepers and all the shorts you could want

what is this ,the mouth was huge and it was 5.5 inch's long
