Met my friend Steve at 4 am on Fri.
After making 1 stop for Live Herring.
We arrived at Merrill Creek at 5:45 am.
It was raining and the there was some fog.
Perfect conditions for the early part of July !
Steve launched his Monark & off we went.
We drifted live Herring for the 1st 3 hrs.
A few hits by Stockies & that was it.
We were both puzzled
Only 1 thing to do when the fish are not hitting on the drift & we ended up anchoring up.
We anchored up in 90 ft of water & started chumming.Within 10 minutes the Brownie's were all around the boat.1st Brownie went 2.5 lbs.And the next 3 hrs we bailed them. There were times when all 6 rods were going at 1 time. Can you say Chinese Fire Drill
A majority of the Browns were stockies. At 1:45 pm we called it a day.
