Roosters Flukin 7-10
« on: July 10, 2008, 07:22:39 PM »
A lot of wind but not a lot of Fluke today. Tom and I were out on Sandy Hook Bay this morning, Tom getting our only keeper Fluke@ 20" soon after starting our first drift. After that it was Sea Robins and short flatfish. The wind, blowing out of the NW at 15 to 20 K, made for rough travel and drifting finally let up about noon when we were heading in. Killies and Sea Robin strips were the hot bait, bucktailing was not an option. The State Police paid us a visit on the water checking our cooler for shorts.

Nice report, at least you managed a keeper, it has been slow all over. Looks like the south wind has finally left us though(I hope), and things should turn around and take off soon.
