During Shark Week on the Discover Channel they have an hour long special about the 1916 Jersey attacks. A good show, with some old black and white pictures.

 there is a real good book on it believe it was "Year of the Shark" will have to look for the book in my attic t^

part of the list of witnesses reads like the who's who of Ocean County, Burlew,
Applegate, Fisher.  Not bad.  I would love to read the book I wonder if they have it in the O.C. museum in Toms River.  Unfortunately it is out of print.
