Rosco, would help to know what area you would want to fish and what species.

What kind of gear do you have?
Did you want to fish fresh water, salt water?

Give us more info on what you want to do and where you want to do it.

Thanks IrishAyes for responding.
Here is my problem, I did most of my fishing in south America, British Guiana ( a country where America  and  Brits refuel  their  fighters in WW2.

Most of the fishing using casnet; there were no restrictions to species etc. Therefore, you could fish in ponds, lakes, stream, sea etc. Moreover, such a variety of species it is just amazing.

Now about 2 summers ago, I am trying to get up to speed in American way of fishing. You have to agree there so much regulation, fees, special equipments, lures, tides, timing, species etc. it will take a while to get up to speed.
So I purchased a 16 footer boat with a 40 HP Yamaha 4 stoke engine that came out of the Aberdeen dock. Went out  to lake Hopatcong, spruce run, lake walenpaupack in pa, just amazing hanging out with the family having fun.
However, my passion still incomplete I need to fish more, I tried the spruce run, for bass etc. so I have Rods (I will get a list of names and make for you)
I lived in Middlesex county/NJ so the closest salt-water bay, river that my boat can handle will be the ideal spot at a beginner level.
The objective is to find someone who could give me a kick-start, then probably down the road find a saltwater angler without a boat or share my boat with other people.
I worked in the city, so time is very limited for me, however with the right planning and yea that someone to help me with a little push will be great. In addition, I do not mind paying for the help.
I consider myself a great person, fun, wacky, wife and family of three kid’s two boys 1 girl. Work in the area of computer networking if anyone needs help.
FYI, I am not a good writer, my English writing skills are limited, so please excuse me.
Thanks

Your writing skills seem perfectly fine to me.

As far as getting a kick start. Perhaps jump on a party boat close to your area. I believe the Raritan/Sandy Hook area would be the closest to you. On the party boat you will find anglers of different skill levels, from beginner to expert.

The mates on the party boats are experienced in helping beginners. They will give you pointers as to how to fish for a particular species and what tackle to use.

If you are looking to find someone to jump on your boat with you, I'm sure there are guys here willing to do so and give you pointers.

One of our members fishes that boat often. I'm sure he will be able to fill you in on the workings of the boat.  t^
