not a happy one, but for all the surf people with young kids in the water, they all need to be EXTRA careful

Thanks for the news.  Not good news, but maybe someone in the future will benefit from it. 

When I was out surf fishing around TS Bertha time a couple of weeks ago, people were just not heeding the warnings.  No lifeguards on duty and younger kids out way too far with 5-6 waves crashing over their heads.  They laughed, but it was not funny!  Water is a powerful thing and the ocean is even more powerful!

Wow... add the death and  injuries from lightning in Sandy Hook and that's the deadliest weekend in the surf that I can remember... your point is well taken. Very sad.

Learning the hard way is not always that bad and sometimes people actually LEARN then, but death is pretty much the ultimate hardway and I hate that as well!!
