Raritan bay Back
« on: July 30, 2008, 06:34:08 PM »
Fished raritan back bay today and yesterday  today  i had 24 shorts no keepers... Yesterday I had  about 12 shorts and 2 keepers  18" 2 1/2 lbs and a  21 4.5 lbs...
I did manage to catch a lure that was still tied to a rod and reel  Abu reel  :D looked like it was only in there for day or so soaked in freshwater and  re lubed it all up  put some braid on it and ready to go !!
Had to pull ALL the line off the reel to get it on the boat lol ....
Bait was squid and white gulp seems the white teasers and green are doing the hits. Still no damn Pnuts in morgan a few but  small pods.

Nice report!!

But that reel and rod you caught was mine, i lost it yesterday while fluking out there. So if you dont mind PM me ill give you my address, and if you can UPS it back to me ASAP, with the new braid line on it, that would be great, thanks.

Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.

There were plenty of peanuts in Morgan earlier this month.

Everytime this year I've fished the party boat out of Morgan we've done well by the #47 and further west by the secondary Ward's Point Channel.
