If you will be walking on make sure to bring flashlights or something to illuminate your walk over the dunes because there are no lights.

Be careful... t^ grtn

Just got home..  Fun Night.  About 50 People..  No sharks landed since I left.  I had a great fight for about 2 minutes.  KEn had a fight that took all his line..  down to the knot.  then snapped the pole in 2.

Great meeting everyone tonight..  can't wait till next time.

yeah about my rod.........
i set my buddys daughter up with my rod, launched her out a whole bunker. told her if she could land one of these monsters i would give her 100 bucks. i wanted to see a 11 yr old girl show up all these avid fisherman. the drag started screaming, pole just mangled...... snap!!! 10 foot ande rod bustid right in half as this beast proceeded to spool the real.wow what was it. ray or shark we will never know. i'm sure she will never forget that, she didnt even realise how big of a deal that was. a true beast on the hook. i'll pick up a new rod and try sgain mabey tonight. i will write more later, goin to sleep. thanks to all how showed up.

Good to see everyone again and meet some new people last night.  Great evening and nice weather.
Thanks to Ken for putting everything together again.
I think my little robin was the only thing landed.  At least up till midnight.
Rod was like a little kid for that 2 minute fight.  Too bad it got away, would have been nice to see it come on shore.
While I waiting to air up on the way out, I spoke with someone who was out with the makers of another bait launcher down towards the inlet, they had a few rigs bitten off, but nothing brought in either.

Hi All Great night thanks to all who showed up.  It was great to meet some new faces that can now be put to the site names.  It was to bad that we had no landings and I also talked to a group of guys airing up that were sharking as well not a part of either group and they had a number of hits and got spooled a couple of times but no landings.  It was a strange night but all in all a great fun night with a lots of laughs.

Rod to bad your trophy was not landed it looked like the way your rod was bent that it was truly a good size fish.  Nick and crew the same, you guys were hooked up a number of times but never saw the beach.  Better luck next time, as there is still a bit of time left to the season and I know I will be out there casting my heart out.

The night looked like a winner with the full moon as bright as ever in fact most of the time no lights were needed.  It is strange to see shadows cast on the beach at 2:00AM when light is scarce and the only true light is from a passing buggy or the headlamps of fellow fishermen.

I stayed till about 2:00AM as I started to get some hits but again as the night went could not hook up at all.  I have to believe it had something to do with hook size.  But with all the people we had on the beach it would of been hard to start experimenting at that point.

If anyone wants to meet out there just give me a PM and lets set up a trip and see if different things work any better.

It is plug and metal season on the beach and I will be going back to that instead of bait.  I seem to do a lot better.

But I have to say we had a blast out there and that made up for any lost fish this time.  Thanks everyone for a great time... t^

Happy Catching

Paul

I'll be out there tomorrow morning.  Looking at 4:00 or earlier to catch the pre dawn action down by the inlet.

Thanx Ken for organizing this outing.Though I got there late is was neat to see so many people milling about,, sorta surreal w/ that bright beacon in the sky, we could've had a volley ball game!
Hachiko was thrilled to meet Sassafras, made his night.
