Jerry I am keeping it real simple.

Nick was shocked that I only use the Gulp shrimp.

I see alot of people using bait & gulp on the same hook.

Not me.

FF rig / Barrel Swivel / 17" leader / 5/0 hook / enough weight to hold bottom.

Thread the 4 " Shrimp so it sits straight.

No teaser

Bounce Bounce Bounce

Fish on.

I have the  8" Gulp Squid going to give it a whirl this Fri.

Like I told Art the other day, one of the things me and Capt. Vic talked about a few years ago was also making a larger size gulp! mullet.

I had less luck on the 3" shimp then on the 4, nick try the 6" grub it is bad ass ,many big fish on it ,it cost more but it is well worth it ,I also been doing good on the 5 inch squid

the smaller fish will hit it the same as the mullet but the bigger fish seem to jump on it ,I noticed a big difference in the size of the fish when we switched to the bigger one and the action is better than the mullet

.

Jerry, there is a 6" GULP swimming minnow. Give Har-Lee Rod in Jersey City a call as I know they had them in stock earlier this summer. Try to rootbeer color, saw a few nice fish come up on them this past Sunday.

I started using Gulp last year - either the jerk shad or the shrimp, and had good success. This year I started putting both on the line with a jig head and a dropper, and a new penny shrimp on top outfishes the shad about 3/1. The two combined seems to outfish either one alone about 2/1.
This boy is about as sharp as a sack of wet mice...
