Porgys?

My dad is a huge fisherman and hes planning on taking me fishing tomarow to look for porgys. We have a 21 foot century and are located near keyport in raritan bay. Can anyone give me some hot spots because everytime we try to look for porgy i end up falling asleep waiting for a bite so any help would be amazing!

I don't know that area too well, but for good porgie fishing, you need a lot of chum.
Find a structure and drift it afew times ot see if it's got life and set anchor above if it does and chum heavy...

I believe it's 19 in the reach, right off the rock pile. Haven't done it yet this year, but it always seems to produce. Use a hi-lo with clam and worm. They will tell you which bait to put back on.

Hopefully you can pick up some surprise fish too

is that buoy 19 off annadale beach? where is the rock pile?

i'm not sure the name of the beach. It is where the reach gets close to SI. It is in NY waters.
