Sea Girt Reef
« on: September 02, 2008, 08:11:33 PM »
Out for fluke recently at the Sea Girt reef, figured we would try to catch them on their easterly migration.  Started with the fleet at the bend, not a single hit.  moved to some structure on the south end, we were soon rewarded with a fat 18", 3 lb seabass.  GOOD EATS  ;D ;D.  picked at a steady stream of small seabass and just-barely-short fluke.  Capt found a nice lump on the fishfinder and put the boat over it... I immediately boated beautiful 22", five pound fluke (my yearly biggest).  Also caught a 17.95" fluke, but being a good law-abiding citizen, i let 'im go... 5hrug

I'll throw some pix up 2moro

Well thats okay, we caught the night's dinner plus some fillets to freeze anyway!

One more week...

gd luck
