We had our last Fluke Charter for the Season, Ed Salsman, his wife Mary and adorable daughter Madaline (age 6.)
Charter started at noon, NOAA was forcasting 5-10 SE with 1 ft in the bay, yeah right.
It was a great day but she was blowing 15-20 and then steady 20, wind with tide. 2 2 1/2 Ft
As we were limited in our fishing locations, hit the Reach, TC, Bug Light, a few dredge holes and finished in the Shrewsbury.
On our entrence into the bay birds were working pretty good, stopped and jigged and threw a popper, nothing. Good reads but nothing.
Went back to Fluking. Drift was 2 Knotts, way to fast, 8 oz barely holding. Had plenty of Bait/Blue Fish readings but no takers.
Bait was stacked just about every where we went.
Total 1 17" Fluke, no birds, no BLues
All in all I really had a great time with a wonderful family, as they say catching is only secondary tot he experience.
Madilane got to bring the boat back in and her face was beaming.
Saturdays trip is a wash and mostlikely Sunday as well.
On to Bottom fishing, Weaks if they show, Stripers and bLues.
