Pop's Soul Sunday Skunk
« on: September 14, 2008, 06:41:19 PM »
:P The wife and I headed out for a boat ride, left the dock around 12:30, at the bottom of the outgoing tide. Pulled out of Shark River inlet and headed north with a following sea. Water temp ranged from 68 to 70 degrees. Trolled up to Ausbury Park trolling 2 metals one a double 07 with a green tube the other a Hopkins with a 3 oz drail. Stayed along the beach going up made a wide turn and out to the 50 foot depth and headed back south with a 2-3 foot chop with a 4 footer thrown in as the day went on. Trolled back down to South Belmar into the beach and back to the inlet. We had a easy 15 knot south wind and stained water. It was the first we were on the boat in 2 weeks so it felt good to be on the water even with No fish being caught.   t^

Good try Skip.  I was wondering if anyone was going out today after puting the days weather report together last night.  I was surprised at the heat that swept through as well as the winds and higher seas.
