crabbing

Sunday when I was taking boat out at Sayreville launch,talked to someone that was crabbing in the river and they did good,thinking about trying it tomorrow just to get out,the forcast for the open water doesn't look to good for the rest of the week.what is the best tide for crabbing?

on the river it dont matter ,my buddy and his father got 60-70 keeps in 6 hours the other day

got out today,went down river and didn't do to well there,got there around 10 and stayed about an hour then moved up river just past where the south river comes in and anchored and used drop lines,ended up with just over 2 1/2 doz.nice sized crabs,nice day on the water.
