Atlantic Highlands motel?
« on: October 03, 2008, 09:02:54 AM »
Anyone know of a decent motel around Atlantic Highlands without spending an arm and a leg?

Thanks
Rick

I don't recall the name, but its about 1 mile west of AH marina.  Right next to the Wild Scalion bar/grill.
Fish out of Toms River NJ.
Call Nick for open boat, 973-417-5756, or on Channel 68.

Be sure to call ahead, they fill up this time of year.  You'll probably find a trailered boat or 2 in the parkling lot to boot.

The Leonardo Motel.

He said decent.

I stayed once at the Leonardo Motel in the early or mid 90's...to quote I think Bette Davis, "what a dump".

There are a few better motels (Days/Quality Inn, Ramada) on Rt. 35 about 1-2 miles after you get off the GSP.

Well, I guess if you're looking for a place to crash, Leonardo will do.  IF you're looking for something more high end, you can check into one of the Bed & Breakfasts right in AH.
