S-T-R-I-P-E-R-S ! ! !

OK, im going to be going out on my boat in sandy hook soon and ive been reading about all different kinds of bait to use for stripers.  what do you guys think is gonna work best?  ive read that clams are good, ells are good, poppers, artificials... I HAVE NEVER CAUGHT A STRIPER!!!! so i really want to catch one, so what should i use??????

There was a good clam bite on Tuesday but since then it's been down hill.

jig em up! naked ava's kroc spoons, etc....follow the birds, although that fishery has not blossomed yet.....stay tuned to this site for the first reports.

Not poppers on a weekend during the day unkess you see breaking fish... Try jigs, clams, or mullet...
