Raritan bay Friday night 10/24 Bass
« on: October 25, 2008, 08:12:37 AM »
Weather for the weekend did not look good and I have the Jets game this sunday so I had to get out Friday night. The weather was beautiful and the bay was flat with no wind. I left Keyport at 7PM and headed straight for buoy 11A in the Reach which is off of Keansberg. The water temp was in the low 50's so I anchored up and set up 2 rods with clams. I pulled in a couple of Skates and several crabs, soon  after one reel started screaming and the fight was on ;D. I netted myself a nice 34" Striper which weighed 12 lbs. No more luck for the rest of the night so I pulled anchor at 11PM and headed back. It was really nice and clear out, Sure beats sitting on the couch.
