2009 Saltwater Sportsman Seminar Series 01/10
« on: October 28, 2008, 06:42:16 PM »
The seminar is at Trump Marina this year on Jan 10th. Do any members plan on attending? I am undecided.   ???  Last years seminar was okay, but this time its pretty far for me and Im not a big gambler.

Me and Bob G will be going.

I went last year and I was a little disapointed. The seminar was ok, but I was expecting more. It seemed to be more of a BS session with the guys on the stage instead of a teaching excersize.

From what I hear, they had the seminar year before last at A/C and it was better than last year's at Monmouth. The A/C seminar was apparently geared more to ocean fishing, which, being out of Belmar, is all I do.

As the time gets closer we can figure a place for all our members to meet.  t^

Hareball and I will attend the AC show; it is way better then the one up north. I Have attended both in the past... The AC show is more about ocean then bay. These captains are usually ones that their primary income is fishing rather then, hobby, or media related. Have said that I would image we could pick up a few tips. At the very least the perks, and the day out is well worth the price of admission. Rod, I am sure you could get something out of this; this is more off shore then bay.

To be honest I am more of a bay fisherman.  Maybe if I won some door prizes it would of changed my mind. I think I will not attend this one. ??? Still undecided though. :-\

Good luck Warren, I am not going this year as there is nothing on surf fishing.  Went last year and did not get to much out of it and just listened to war stories.

Have fun

I'm still undecided as well.. Depends on how stir crazy I get by then.. I agree with the guys re. the amount of useful info obtained from the seminars itself.. I gleaned much more from the free seminars at the Hi-Mar flea market. But the bag of schwag was nice, and while i did'nt win anything,  >:( the where some sweet doorprizes to be had.

The way I see it, for $55, it's a cheap day out. Especially with all the goodies you get in the bag. TT^

You would look good in the Grady Warren.  TT^

Good luck to Grillo. That is, if I don't win it.  ;D
