Staten Island, back bay
« on: November 07, 2008, 06:04:56 PM »
arrived off staten island about 6am. nice morning, overcast and calm seas...fishfinder showing red archs so I start to troll, both sides of channel for two hrs.  Drifted clams and eels, nothin. Around 11 or so a boat next to me had live bunker, thought that might be the ticket but they didn't stay long and nothin landed.  Did see one short landed and thought something was gonna happen after seeing some swirls...but no luck! Very little bird activity. Need a cold spell quick!

I was going to head out there but I had my old man with me. He is a bit of a worry wart, didn't want to stress him out.  I did see a smaller fleet out that way. Thanks for the tip. Next time!
