Sailed with Capt mike on the Sea Hawk Saturday. Small crowd, but he set sail to the spot that produced the day before.
Had a very slow pick of porgies, seabass, and blackfish initially. Fish coming over the rail, but nothing like on Friday so we made a move inshore. Spent the rest of the day drowning crabs for a real good steady pick of blackfish. Majority were 13-15" and everyone had their 1 fish limit. Lots of CnR fishing and if the limit was 10 like years ago, most onboard could of achieved that.
Theresa managed to take the pool with a decent blackfish even though the rock I hooked and got over the rail was bigger
Gonna make a nice addition to our yard.
All in all a pretty good day even with the hour of rain we had on the water.
Figured Sunday was going to be even better, but was shocked when I heard from Capt Mike in the afternoon that he didn't sail as he did not get enough people down
T and I did manage to almost limit out on leaves though, filling up 49 bags
I believe the Sea hawk will start sailing earlier for their blackfish trips at 6:30am instead of 7:00am with intent on returning around 3:30pm.
