Sea Hawk 11/8
« on: November 10, 2008, 11:18:45 AM »
Sailed with Capt mike on the Sea Hawk Saturday. Small crowd, but he set sail to the spot that produced the day before.

Had a very slow pick of porgies, seabass, and blackfish initially.  Fish coming over the rail, but nothing like on Friday so we made a move inshore.  Spent the rest of the day drowning crabs for a real good steady pick of blackfish.  Majority were 13-15" and everyone had their 1 fish limit.  Lots of CnR fishing and if the limit was 10 like years ago, most onboard could of achieved that.

Theresa managed to take the pool with a decent blackfish even though the rock I hooked and got over the rail was bigger rofla  Gonna make a nice addition to our yard. hhppy

All in all a pretty good day even with the hour of rain we had on the water.

Figured Sunday was going to be even better, but was shocked when I heard from Capt Mike in the afternoon that he didn't sail as he did not get enough people down 5hrug

T and I did manage to almost limit out on leaves though, filling up 49 bags :P

I believe the Sea hawk will start sailing earlier for their blackfish trips at 6:30am instead of 7:00am with intent on returning around 3:30pm.

Bucktail, Team Gottog sounds good, but a few of us go under Team Goats TT^

Jerry, I hit the OE the Saturday before.  They had real good tog'n for a couple of weeks and then the blow slowed it down and the day we went was of course the worse day they had in awhile. T and I both managed a keeper that day.  She got hung up with a fish and worked on it for atleast 15minutes.  She was about to break off and it finally came unsnagged and she got the fish over the rail.
