Recorders or GPS w/recorders
« on: May 15, 2007, 12:37:30 PM »
Can anyone give me some advice about which type of recorder to get. One with or without a GPS included and  is there a brand that everyone likes better. Price range from 400. to 600.
Any help would be great.
Roger

I personally like the combo unit because you can split the screen and watch your readings and track at the same time. I have always used garmin without a problem I have a 192c and love it.Consumer Marine runs some pretty good specials but its hard to beat ebay.
Good Luck

Combo units are great but I always shied away because if the unit goes out you lose both devices, and if I had one or the other I could still operate.......Garmin makes some great units in that price range.........try Consumers Marine Electronics, best prices. Good Luck

Hi,

I second what Capt. Bob says.

I buy all my electronics from Consumers Marine as well.

Thanks,

Capt. Ed
