Winter Trout Stocking Concludes
« on: November 26, 2008, 08:07:18 PM »
The NJ DEP Division of Fish and Wildlife concludes its Winter Trout Stocking Program today with the stocking  of five more lakes and ponds. A total of  23 lakes throughout the state are stocked with more than 5000 giant (14 inch to 17) rainbow trout  as part of the program, enabling anglers to enjoy quality trout fishing all year.

For details about the program, including the complete list of waters stocked, visit http://www.njfishandwildlife.com/news/2008/wntrtrt08.htm on the division's website.

Thanks for the info.  That seems to be the consensus on all of the lakes that were stocked!  Everyone was getting the skunk, everywhere.  ...And they tried every bait, every artificial and every lure available with no luck.  Of course, it doesn't help that the winter stocking numbers are usually only a 1/4 of what they stock in the spring/summer.  A lot of people keep saying that they don't think the lakes were even stocked...I don't think that is true.
