Togs aboard the Big Mohawk 11/28
« on: November 28, 2008, 06:15:46 PM »
Had the pleasure to fish with Joe and his friend Dave today aboard the Big Mohawk. Arrived at about 5:15am and there were only a few spots left, as normal due to the huge following and great reputation of the Big Mohawk. Joe and Dave arrived a few minutes later and got the next to last tickets. By the time my buddy Mike arrived at 5:40, he was SOL, full boat.(He decided to wait and go tog'in on the Ocean Explorer). Weather was nice in the morning and we seen massive bird activity as we approached the Shrewsbury Rocks. On the first drop, fish started coming over the rail a few at a time, more keepers then shorts I would say.  This was the case all day. Not a fantastic super bite, but some action around the boat all day, which is always better then the skunk. In the end everyone had fish, and some had limits. Dave had 1 keeper, Joe had 2, and I had 3 to take home.  <'((((><
I've spent most of my life fishing, the rest I've just wasted     <'((((><

It was nice to meet you Darren.

Everyone caught fish. Some more than others, as is always the case.

No real flurries but fairly steady pick most of the day.

Everyone left a lot of gear on the bottom. Will need to make some more sinkers before next trip.

Drew, from Pop's Soul, was also late for the Mohawk. He fished the Ocean Explorer with two friends.

MGM, thanks for the heads up on the early fill and departure. You were right on the money. Filled up fast and off the dock by 6am, an hour earlier than post time.  t^

Can't wait for next weeks trip on the Sea Hawk.  w00t
