Cape May toggin... 11-29-08
« on: November 30, 2008, 12:20:33 PM »
Fished down Cape May on the Stanley Rose for toggies... we have been fishing this day with him for the last 4 yrs.... This years crew had Vics cousin Orlando, Mike (LAB), C&B Joe and his buddy Keith, and Kevin Kennedy.

Left the dock at 630am with 2 bushels of whites and headed to the tog grounds.

From the first drop it was game on, a classic CM tog bite as the biggins chewed hard and often as we were swinging fish from 4-9 lbsright from the start... got so rediculous we would have been done by 9am so we had to set our standards higher as far as what WE considered a keeper...we were throwing fish back early that were 17" or less and still made easy boat limits, With Orlando boxing his new personal best pushing 12#'s

During the day Mike and I both choked on 2 monsters each.... as fish were swimming sideways into structure and just couldn't be lifted out....

We made 2 drops on one wreck and one drop on rubble with quality fish everywhere. Only the one drop was needed but the crew voted against going striper fishing so we proceeded to bail and release big quality togs till we said we had seen enough....

Super Job by Capt Steve (Chaos) London and mate Lenny.... looking forward to a few more trips down there....

Can't wait to do it Monger style next weekend without that long parkway ride..
