Last weekend fished the challenge in the outer banks from 12/5 at noon till 0600 12/7. The weather was good with minumum of wind etc, but the fish did not cooperate as well as was hoped. There were about 340 surf men fishing and only four stripers were caught. Winning fish was 24lbs, second place was 23 and third and fourth were 22.5 and 22 respectively. First and second prize paid $3000.00 each and third and fourth paid $1500 each, so not a bad return for $100 entry fee. It is a good time and though we caught nil enjoyed it again this year.....
