One down and one to go!
« on: December 15, 2008, 03:50:11 PM »
The father of Jennifer worked for me when this happened. I will never forget that morning when he came into me and told me he needed a few days off because his daughter was murdered.

What do you say to someone when something like this happens?

Thank god one is going away, one to go.

Bob I have to agree, as having a daughter and realizing that I would never see her ever again would kill me as well.

I hope he gets what he deserves in prison everyday for the rest of his life.

Damn scum.

The other brother has been sentenced to 76 years!  Hopefully, he ends up there for his entire life.  Absolutely horrible what they did...and for no reason(not that there is ever a reason for killing another person).

At least the family now has closure on the loss of their daughter.  Dieselhp, if you still have contact with the family, please send T&P their way.

NJ teen sentenced in dismemberment slaying
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS • July 31, 2009

MORRISTOWN — A judge on Friday sentenced a New Jersey teen to 76 years in prison for his role in the slaying of the girl next door.

Jurors found James Zarate guilty of helping his older brother kill the 16-year-old and trying to dump her dismembered body into a river.

The 18-year-old was 14 at the time.

Prosecutors said Jonathan Zarate beat, choked and stabbed Jennifer Parks in 2005 and cut off her legs before putting the dismembered corpse in a trunk.

The brothers and another teen were spotted by a police officer trying to dump the trunk into the Passaic River.

His older brother was sentenced to life behind bars.

Torture make sure it is done slowly and so the public can see. Just might discourage others. >:D >:D

I ran into Dave a few weeks ago and he seems to be doing a little better.
Poor guy blames himself because he was going to leave for DC with the family that night, but he was tired. He told them they would leave in the AM. He thinks that if would have left that night this would not have happened.

Thank god for the cops that just happened to drive by.
