Fish Monger Bonito and False Ablies
« on: July 24, 2009, 08:52:31 AM »
He guys just wanted to remind everyone about our special Open boat trips for Bonita and False Ablies.

Like last year once they arrive in some numbers on the inshore ridges and lumps, hopefully From Mid AUG and Sept. We will target Bonito and Fat Alberts on light tackle trolling and chumming/ bait fishing.

These southern speedsters are great action on light tackle... Spanish Mackeral and Mahi also make there appearance at times as well.

Already have bunch of guys on da list looking to go out.

Will Keep everyone posted and List any spots we have on our special Open boat trips in aug/sept.

Dont forget to join our newsletter at www.fishmongercharters.com

Thanks

Epic Bonz trip from last year Enjoy!

Atlantic Bonito are excellent to eat...

Not to be confused with False ablies which are terrible or skippies

Also not to be confused with what is called a bonito in other places which is actually not one.

Good thread on here somewhere about it

I also hear Spanish mackerels are not good to eat ;D ;D  I will take all you get for my "crab pots" I also hear hear small  dolphin make good crab bait.......I do know if this is true but if people send me some nice fresh lightly seasoned/ or grilled fillets I will be happy to try them out ;D I talked to a boat that fished the BI Ride on Sat and slammed the  Bonita. Good luck and pile them high

If you run any open albie/bonito trips on the weekends. I'm definitely in for Jason & myself.
