We left about 45 minutes ago. As of that time, no hits.
Conditions were tough.  Rough surf, windy and lots of cabbage in the water.
We did have a team building exercise though  ::)

Despite the tough fishing conditions, it was good to see everyone  t^
Thanks to those who made it happen.

6:00 and just getting in, called it a night around 3 and slept in the car for a bit. Nice meeting everyone and even without a bite (Jeff got a skate as i was leaving lol) a nice sunrise in the morning and the nice clear sky at night made it worth it to be out there :)

I want to thanks those that set this trip up. This was my first night out at the beach and I learned a lot about how to prepare and what to bring for the next trip down. I had the fishing gear covered but didn't realize that a night on the beach could be such a community event. Much like being a newbie on this forum, my son and I laid back and took it in but we are looking forward to seeing many of you on the beach as the weather cools.

Happy Fishing! ;D

I am glad I went, even tho I did not throw a line in, it was GREAT meeting everyone!

it was really cool watching how the surf rocket worked and how important it is to keep that stuff ice cold.

Hope all the firewood lasted long enough for those who used it.

I was also overwhelmed with what it takes to fish at night. I was not 100% prepared and will be next time. Not enough light for me and not familiar with the water enough to throw any bait.
Just hanging out with all of you was a GREAT time.

Thank you

Steve

I got home around 5:30am. We left as soon as the firewood ran out. I did catch a skate though!

A lot of cabbage in the water made it for rough fishing conditions, but all in all it was a great time. It was great meeting all of you, and I hope to see you out there again! I'll upload pictures once I finish waking up.

P.S. I would like to thank Chris (ChrisL) for not strangling me for setting up our team exercise.  hhppy

Just getting home now myself.  22 hours on the beach kicked my ass.  It was great meeting everyone!  A BIG thanks to Paul for pulling out my stuck truck!  Hope to get out there again with some of you in the future.  I'll have some pics to upload as soon as I clean all my gear out.  Thanks again to Kenny and all for setting up the event.   t^

I uploaded some photos to the NJSWF Facebook page.  My camera decided to declare a bunch of the photos as File Errors and they didn't make it.

It was great to see all you guys once again on the beach.  The crowd was a good size this year.  Sorry we had to leave a bit early but some one was getting cranky...LOL

For those of you out for the first time at night it is a bit different.  Now you can appreciate what many of us go through just to land a nice striper.  Night fishing is where it is at and if anyone wants to get together this Fall keep me in mind as I will be out there oh I would say a couple a few times.

Kenny, a great job as usual, thanks for your 110% effort.

Happy Catching

Paul
