Like Greg I use Power Pro.  I usually don't go that heavy but that's me.  30 to 40 is my max.  30 on the spinning and 40 on the conventional.

I will be out there around 4 as I will be coming from NYC.  Having breakfast in the city with a special friend from Hawaii.

See you all there.  What area on IBSP are we shooting for?

Ken said he plans on setting up around A-10.  Let's hope there's room for everyone to keep a nice tight group.....It gets pretty packed out there on the weekends.

Another choice in braid is the Stren Sonic Braid.  I have a few a few of my reels loaded with that.  I really like the 65# when I'm in Fla. and jigging up some big AJ's.

I'm sure i'll either head over thursday between 2-3 or Friday around noon,  be in to get one or two re-spooled.

Packed isn't the word I had in mind Jason.  A10 is a good choice as we have had good luck with sharks in that area in recent years.  It is like  a natural under water cove off there that seems to hold fish close to the shoreline.

I haven't been out in a few weeks so I don't know how the beach is fairing.  I will be our there (I am hoping) around 4 or so, as I will be coming in from NYC, but, if everything goes okay in the city it should not matter.

See you all there, be careful getting out there.

Happy Catching

Paul

I will be there but I might just bring a pole and hang out. I am in the process of moving/being evicted and I can't even afford to pay attention I am so broke. So bait and tackle might be whatever I can afford. We'll see tho.

Two questions.

Is the rough surf predicted for this weekend going to hurt the shark surf fishing ?
Is it a far walk to the area you guy's will be fishing for someone who does not drive on the beach ?

Thanks...Hopefully will get to watch you guy's in action.

Mikey - The walk isn't too far, less than 1/4 mile if we do all find a spot at A-10.  Rough surf makes harder fishing, but if they're there, we'll get 'em....Just might need to use a little more weight to hold bottom.

If I see ya walking Rod, I'll snatch ya up.   TT^

Does anyone plan on bringing firewood to get something going out there?  If everyone tries to bring a few pieces, we can keep a fire going for a few hours.  I have some scrap wood I can round up here at the warehouse that I'll bring with me.

Once I'm set up on the sand, if anyone needs a ride in from the parking lot, let me know and I can drive out to shuttle.
I have a couple boxes of scrap wood and a stack of logs set aside to bring for a fire.

Steve, where in TR are you located?  I could drop those boxes off to you sometime tomorrow and snatch up some wood from you and hold it for Saturday.  You got my number.

The rough surf and the flood warning are projected till 3PM Friday.  There might not be much sand left at high tide at A10.  This warning has been up for a couple of days.

The best thing would be to call the guard shack before going out.  I will be up in NYC all morning and will not be able to post anything.

Hopefully we can get this thing off the ground this year.

Ill be bringing a couple of bundles of fire wood. O and the walk is only long if its your first time going and you decide to bring 3 fishing poles, a few bundles of firewood, a big cooler and a 6 foot sub.  Thats the mistake I made my first time about 3 years ago. No more walking for me! haha
