Yup, but I sure as hell wouldn't be open on THANKSGIVING DAY!!!
Nick, I think you may has misread the post. They are refusing to open on
Thanksgiving Day, not on
Black Friday. I admire them for sticking up for their associates and the American family.
One other thing I want to mention is that
most retail employees don't receive time and a half or any kind of premium for working on a holiday. They just get a different day off.
I think most retail associates expect to work on holidays like Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day and the like. But, some holidays, like Thanksgiving, need to be preserved for the family. After all, what else are we working for?
