Switch/Guage Panel Rebuild

I got tired of looking at the faded out carbon fiber switch panel & switches and decided a new look was needed.

After lableing and removing all of the wires, I removed the panel, then the switches and gauges. I cleaned it up, and reinforced a 2 small cracks near the screw holes with crazy glue and fibers on the rear side.

After obtaining some sample material,I made the decision to change from the carbon fiber to a wood grain look, which was done with a cool adheasive sheet from rvinyl.com, which was very easy to work with.

I changed out just the switch actuarors, the switches themselves were still good, saved some beer money there. Cleaned up the gauges, painted the letters on the tab switch housing,and reinstalled everything.  TT^

The actuators came from http://www.shop.newwiremarine.com/Rocker-Switches-and-Accessories_c15.htm

They have a large selection, and had all of the ones that I wanted. $4.99 each. Choose additional shipping options, and choose Priority Mail, it's $7 cheaper than UPS. Comes from NC, had it in the mailbox in just a few days.  I also recommend the Carling Actuator Tool. Makes the actuator just pop right off. Without the tool you can use two small screwdrivers,(I think they call it Kracka Rigg'in), but it is always better to have the right tool for the job.

Is the Nav/anc switch 2 position? 1 position is both on and 1 just anchor middle off. Thanks!

Yes,that's correct. I just replaced the actuator( faceplate) on my factory origional switch.

Is that passenger or self eject?  Sometimes I think I could use passenger eject haha.
