Settle a bet....what would you rather catch???....
« on: June 25, 2012, 07:50:27 PM »
Some conversation over a few, long, slow, unproductive drifts.. ;D... popped up over the weekend.  Figured I'd put it up here to settle a bet between myself and my bud.

Regardless of what your after..... from offshore, inshore, back bay, river, lake, pond..whatever...

...are YOU....and YOU personally...NOT fishing with kids, significant others, parents....ie "looking to put them on some action"   happy with constant action with fish or content with catching NOTHING in the chance of that monster?

I'm paying for this weeks trips on this outcome.. ;D

i'll settle for a keeper fluke over action anyday of the week.  action usually refers to shorts.
It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

I don't think keepers and monsters are the same.  5hrug

I'll take the action.

If I wanted action I'd be at the nightclub and not fishing.  ;D

I want the monster.  w00t w00t

I need to be catching enough decent fish to make me feel like the monster could be nearby ;D...   but seriously, I really would rather not be catching tons of small fish (esp. mini fluke and micro seabass) and just putting them back to have some of them die.

The action with monsters. But one onster a day will do.
A good day of fishing is better than a bad day of fishing. A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work. That means work sucks!

I need a monster, which will give me action. ;D

I would have to agree with blynch.  You need to have some type of action to feel that the monster could be your next fish. It is a personal preference I would think. When you are fishing, you don't care who catches the fish, you just want to see fish caught to give you some hope that you are not fishing a barren spot.

Action.

To me it's more about enjoyment. I'd rather catch small or medium sized fish on light tackle in shallow water than catch a monster where I have to use a broomstick and 12oz of lead.

Action. At least I feel that after all of the cash I have spent on the boat, fuel, bait etc. , at least I can come home with dinner.
I've spent most of my life fishing, the rest I've just wasted     <'((((><
