A 48 hour trip has a lot to offer. Aside from a fast boat, the longer trip greatly increases the range the Captain has to run to the hottest spots at the time.
That would for give us 2 night chunks, and daytime drifting for Tiles or pot hopping for Mahi I would hope. Sounds great to me. TT^

Just keep in mind you are only allowed to return with a one day limit. Can't say it was a two day trip and keep twice as many fish.  :P

My thought on this 48 hour trip would be cool, but
You will have to sleep at sometime and your paying to sleep
The chance of two days like the day we had weather wise is slim, so if someone gets even a little sick it would be hell for them.
I don’t know what time the boat leaves, but lets say it goes out and 7 pm Friday night. That means your back 7pm Sunday night. That’s gets most of you to bed by 9 and have to go to work on Monday.

I personally would like to do a 30 hour trip. I am waiting to hear from two other boats and then I will let you know our best options.

Most of the boats do a 22 hour trip on Friday to Monday and do the 30 hour trips during the week.
I am sure most of us don’t want to take off  two weekdays for the trip.

I just put the 48 hour trip up incase most of you wanted do it.
If that what most want to do, that’s fine, I will give over all of the info to someone who wants to take over. I don’t want to do the trip and its no big deal to me if that’s what most want.

Just let me know.

Im ok with anything though I really dont wanna go on a14hour boat ride
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Yea we are the life of the party....

I really don't have a problem with it, if that's what everyone want's to do.

Rick.....
If you and Rod dont go......i think most wont go.

Agreed.

How about some baby steps?  Alot guys were first timers this year, and that weather we had was def the exception NOT the rule.

Try the same 22-24 hr trip next year on a faster boat and see how it goes...faster boat will give us the mahi pot hopping in the am option instead of heading to the barn at 8am.

Move up to a 30 hour the following year...then a 2 day.

Good stuff ya got going here Rick, it could be a annual trip that goes on for years.....

I don't think I've seen many days that calm on the bay, much less 85 miles out.  That's the key here.  Think about the ride in, now think about that for 48 hours.  That's probably more the reality.
The cure for everything is salt water: sweat, tears, and the sea.
