Great info as always!

What do you think tomorrow will bring? I want to fish if possible!!!!

Tomorrow looks like it is going to be wet with more widely spread showers and thunderstorms with the cold front pushing through.  Water conditions are rated good for inshore through midshore to the Mud Hole, however winds SW/WSW to 13 knots with seas 3 feet at 6 seconds.  Winds and seas could be higher during any thunderstorms.

Fishable, but it could be a bit sporty and wet out front!

Tropical Storm Chantal has been downgraded to a tropical wave or remnants.  The wave is still racing to the W at 23 mph.  Unfavorable conditions, interaction with land and large amounts of dry air and shear have broken the system up.  The NHC will no longer put a track out for the remaining Low, however it will either go into Florida or continue west into the Gulf.  The system could easily redevelop if it makes it to the Gulf.  Like I said last night and this morning, this basically poses no risk to the East Coast and will not cause coastal effects for this area.  It certainly may bring some tropical moisture into the area sometime next week!

Just to clarify, in case I was not understood...the only reason I posted so early on this storm was because social media and internet weather and news outlets were over-dramatizing this storm and hyping this the day it became named close to 10 days before it could have affected the area.  I wanted to get truthful and factual information out on this storm so that no one was left wondering.

Keep doing what you are doing Matt...  People have to be kept abreast of what is just bad reporting especially the social media which has no clue what is going on with today's methods.

Happy Catching

I've been watching on that Sat Image pcrn!  The convection is just exploding again.  It looks better than it did out in the Atlantic...warmer waters.  BUT, the shear and the ULL should not be favorable for development, but it has other plans!  It will be interesting to see what tonight has in plan for it during Diurnal Max?
