That picture is helpfull, I like that rig. Personally I would even try a Bucktail to replace the sinker. It's an extra hook natural appearance. Might be worth a test run.
Reckless: If nothing else you have given some of us a new rig to use. I like that myself, and yes a picture is worth a thousand words in this case. Just a question for you. What is the spread of the hook between each other and where are you spacing the drop loop?So I can make one up for myself
How about this: Make up the same rig but cut the leader where you are now putting the dropper loop. Attach a 2 oz trolling weight in between your now two pieces of leader. It will not 'slide' as an egg sinker would but I think it would accomplish what you are looking to due (less hardware, etc). If you think this would work I have the mold for these type sinkers and can make a few trolling weights for you with swivels on both ends to attach the leader. (free of charge Frank) Just let me know if you want to try it.

Middle loop to end 18 to 20 inches.
How soon do you need them Frank
No problem Frank. Will have them for you before winter flounder season starts.

Hey Frank, I made you a half dozen of the 2 oz sinkers. They have swivels on each end to attach your line. I can give them to you at one of the site 'meets' we do this winter.
