Gave the canal a shot today, nothing wanted to bite. Tried a couple locations and talk to a few fisherman at each location, nobody had anything good to say. One guy told me he had blacks biting yesterday but nothing today. They'll most likely bite tommorrow since I won't be there.

I was there yesterday and only had luck during slack tide. Had to find the honey holes.

Tog are there and have been biting. I made 3 trips in the last week and have had fish each trip including today. Sandworms and patience. Not alot of bites but good ratio of keepers. ;D

Jsst an FYI: There was a small island in the bay adjacent to the old lifesaving station which was owned by a man named Thomas Lovelady. The area was called Lovelady's, which eventually evolved to Loveladies.   TT^

Thanks guys for the kind words, but I'm not coming back here and thats pretty much common knowledge. I wasn't very happy with the support I got from the admin when as a mod, I had an issue with one of his sheriffs. The admin made a decision, and so did I, and I'm happy with the decision I made.

I was just surprised, now that as a regular member, I come here looking for info and there wasn't an entry for the Point Pleasant Canal since April 25th, when there is a heck of a lot that goes on in the canal from mid April to the end of May. Seems like more of a lack of information than anything substantial you could depend on.

I was on the beach today with my son, instead of the canal. We got bass on pencil poppers from 20 1/2 to 27 pounds, nice fish.

Well hopefully in the future there will be better information on the canal.

Garry
