Fished the "special numbers" today and the numbers were not all that special.  nosmly

Same story, a lot of larger throw back but just two keepers. My friend and I both got into two large brown sharks that really were a lot of fun and kept us busy for a few minutes.

Back at the dock and having a few VERY cold Corona's and a good cigar by 1:30

Heading out again Friday depending on weather conditions

Got out this afternoon to give it a shot. WE had 6 keepers to 5lbs. It was a tad on the snotty side. Will be  out Friday to try it again. Channel 9 is good. A Frayed Knot.
This too shall pass.

Got a late start but tried my friends #'s again.

Got out there around 11 and fished till 1pm. over thirty 17+ inch throw back. Two keepers 20 and 21 inches, and lost a large one at the boat.

Back at the dock at 1:45 and guess what I did ?

and the winner is  slt  Pfishingruven

Wreckfish, I am not going out today. Heading down to give the boat a good cleaning and look at a 28 ft Carolina Classic that is up for sale. Some really good deals out there.

I will give you a holler on channel 9 when I get down there.

Went down to the boat to clean it up some but as soon as I got down there I saw a couple guys cleaning King fish. I grabbed some clam chum and headed out to the red marker buoy, anchored up and got about a dozen in about 1.5 hours.

Did anyone notice the very attractice blond wearing the thong bikini on Rands pontoon boat? I had to make sure I cleaned the boat well so I was at the dock when she came back in.  :P  So it was a two cigar day as i waited for her to return to the dock.

Wreckfish, did you get out? I tried to call you a couple times on channel 9

Capt Ron,
Was out from 6:30 to 2:30 at LER. Tried all over the reef.  Results: Short, short, short, short, short, short, short, dogfish, sea robin, short, short, short, keeper, short, short, short, bluefish. You get the idea. Squid and Killes combo worked better than gulp today.I did hear someone trying to hail you on 9 but never heard you. Next time. If you at Rands I'm just up the road from you off of Great Bay Blvd.

Checked the marine forcast last night and decided it was a good day to stay in the bay. Arrived at Rands at 6AM and head up the Mullica to do some white perch fishing and also hoping to get into some small striper's. We picked up a little of everything, small sea bass, small striper's and some really nice keeper white perch. We kept about 20 perch, one weighting in at 1.5 pounds.

Back at the dock at 1230, a Boddington in hand by 12:45 and of course a good cigar.

Wreckfish, do you live right of Great Bay Blvd?

Hit the LER around 830am had 2 keepers 18.5 and 19 inches...not as many throw back as usual but still a fun day.Back at the dock at 2 for my usual cold beer and cigar  chrz

Heading back out tomorrow and hope to get a few more keepers. Looks like the marine forcast is really going down hill as the week progresses.

Fished LER Monday.  Not much happening, a couple of shorts.  It was pretty snotty out and one of my crew was getting a little green.  Ran back inshore off the Red Tower and picked at Croakers the rest of the day. Nice chatting with you capt Ron.
