  Sorry to hear about Al.  I've been wondering about his since I heard bad things about his neighborhood overnight.

We were very fortunate.  Lost power and still out.  Generator is working great, but come 5am I gotta find fuel.
No damage for us, but there's probably 15 homes in our development with large oak trees on their roof's.

Still no power here in upper Bucks. POS generator still going strong. Trying to keep 2 young kids busy is tough. Some tree and wires down around town. Back to work tomorrow night.

I finally just heard from BigAl. He said his house is "gone" but he and his family is ok. He appreciates the thoughts. He has limited service.  

Glad you all are safe and only what appears to be minor damage in the grand scheme of things. If I can help with anything let me know.

I posted that I finally heard from him this afternoon. He said via text that his house is "gone" but he and his family is ok. He's got limited services. He thanks us for the well wishes. Itold him to reach out if he needs anything.

All we had here was trees down and power out for about 24 hours... Was a nice firework show tho watching all the transformers blow in a line...

I lost power around 7:30 Monday night. It was eerie hearing the wind howling, stuff blowing down the street and also watching the sky with one big flash after another. My section of Totowa got power back around 5 AM this morning.  Half of the town still without power. 1/2 mile line for gas station open in town.  Didn't they listen and fill their tanks before the storm?  

I hope everyone made it through safely.  Everything else can be replaced as it is only a material thing.  The pics of the boats piled on top of each other at the various marinas is very sad.

PS: I found this picture on one of the newspaper websites. It is a boat on the Morgan creek train tracks.  The name of the boat is "Emotional Rescue" which I thought was very ironic.

We faired well. Some friends and family not so well. We lost power monday night and just got it back on now. My parents house (Bayville) had water up to the front door and about 3 feet deep in the garage. The boat stayed in the water and thankfully they cast some lines to the opposite side of the lagoon to keep it in place. No damage there. My cousins house off of rt 37 along the toms river had 3 feet in his first floor.

Took a ride up to Neptune and asbury to check on some side jobs of mine. The damage is extensive. Asbury is a time bomb right now. Too many bored people walking around.

As an aside, I looked out my front window last night and saw flash lights shining into my jeep. I booked out the front door with a flash light and a baseball bat. It's kinda of a blur cause it happened so fast and the adrenaline was pumping. But words were said and two teenage kids went running as they claimed they were only playing man hunt. They knew I wasn't playing though    and that hiding in or near someone's car when everyone is on edge was potentially a very bad move.

Check out what happened to the mantaloking bridge and surrounding area. What a shame and I hope everyone got out. There is an inlet there now.

Wow, so sorry to hear of so much damage to property.

Up here thank God all safe. Very lucky no trees came down on my property and that we had minimal rain.

Lost power at 6 pm on Monday but no damage to my home or property so very lucky.

No generator, so after I went out on Tuesday and saw the damage around town and in the surrounding area I took all the frozen food to the local Shoprite that was storing food for people, as I don't see the power coming back on for many more days.
The tree and power cable damage is unreal with numerous streets closed.

Got the fireplace going for heat and hope the flashlights hold out.

Just got to my office building today and power back on here. So this is my first look at what's been going on except the from the AM radio.

Lost power about 10:30 Monday, got it back at 4AM today.
I now reside in senior housing in Garfield and it was a little hard watching some of my fellow older residents trying to cope with no power, no elevator in a three story building,in a totally electric apt..Can't cook, no heat,and darkness.
I fared well,had my lantren, and 1 burner propane stove from my camping days, so I had light and could make coffee.
A family friend who has 12 rental properties in Manasquan has lost every building. They where all on 1st Ave. and my Cousin's boat is missing from marina on the Manasquan river.

 ..Funny how things work...You grow up trying to be a strong husband and father figure but in reality its my wife. I am a volunteer fireman and it seems everytime a major incident is about to happen I am at the firehouse leaving my wife to guard the home. I left the house about 3pm Monday and came home Tuesday around 2pm. The only damage was to my trees. My boat is fine but the marina is gone, they lost all the docks so my striper season is done. Did better than most. I have no power and visit the firehouse daily to recharge phones and use the internet....... Lucky man I guess..Hope everyone is doing well and powered up soon...

I cut up 6 huge trees today and stacked it out on the street.  I'm exhausted and have no heat/power/water, but I honestly am heartbroken for what I saw when I went to Keyport.  I spoke with Al, he and his family are ok but his house is destroyed.  I pulled my boat out of the water with intention of bringing it home.  It ended up slightly cockeyed on the trailer so I opted to leave it at Brown's Point.  Well, a huge tree fell right where my boat would have been at home.  Fate.....  Except it would have been destroyed if I left it at Brown's Point.  Al called me and asked me to help him pull his boat on Saturday.  He saw where mine was and told me there was no way it would be safe there.  I even argued a bit because I was tired but he insisted I hook it back up and follow him to a secret spot he knew of.  I  finally did, and thanks to him my boat is intact and no damage.  While I was at Brown's yesterday a man I talk to regularly asked me if I saw his boat.  He couldn't find it at all.  I was fighting back tears thinking about all that my brothers and sisters of the fishing and boating community lost.  I couldn't imagine having to ask someone if they saw my boat because it went missing in a storm.  I would not have a boat today if it weren't for Al.  This community has brought on so many great friendships, and I am forever thankful that I found it and count myself a part of it.  

If there is ANYTHING I can do for any of you, please don't hesitate to ask.

The shore house now has a 23 ft center console that tried to come in the front window and a 28 ft wedged between us and the neighbor.  Also one jet ski and dock along with lots and lots of wooden debris.  House had about 5 inches of water and mud in it.  So glad I brought my boat back from the shore.
