Well, I was looking to call her "The Filthy Hoar" but was out voted. My brother in law was there and he came up with the name "4th Dependent" Obviously, I have 3 kids so my boat is the 4th. I never lettered her that and instead last year for Christmas my wife gave me a handmade wood sign that I hang from the rocket launchers.

very nice thought... Everyone has a creative story behind there boats names, thats what makes this a pretty good, off season topic.

Nice thread here. The name of our boat is Dollar and a Dream. No it has nothing to do with the lottery  ;D
My brother who works for Dorado Boats in Fla, also runs a brokerage business and unknown to me, had been looking for the perfect hull for me and my son for the last 2 years.(we also grew up on the water and the best times that the 2 of us and my father and gradfather had, were on the water and he wanted me to have the chance to create those memories with my boy)  This past Jan. he found the seacraft that he was looking for and spent the next 5 month rebuilding and customizing it for us. then I get a call on Memorial day saying that he and he wife were coming for a visit in 2 weeks and we were psyched. That Saturday morning he asked to borrow our truck to "go to the store" and when he came home...the Seacraft was in TOW. Talk about being floored. We had no idea. Here's where the name came in. He would not take any money but to make it an official sale, I paid him a Dollar and as a result we realized a dream of boat ownership.. It is the only time (YTD) that I have ever been speechless and it really has been a dream!
Merry Christmas all and talk to you soon.
Brian

A length of Rope went into a bar, sat on a stool, and ordered a beer. The Bartender said, "We don"t serve Ropes here." Dismayed and disappointed, the Rope went out and then got an idea. He stopped a man and asked, "Will you please tie a knot in me and separate my strands at both ends?". The man obliged, and with this done, the Rope went back into the bar and again ordered a beer. The Bartender looked him over and said, "Say, aren"t you the same rope who was in here before?!" "No," was the reply, "I"m a frayed knot."
