Good catch rb. I'm new to the canal and just started using fin S. Threw it out a few times when I was there this past weekend. Ended up trying it with a 3/8 lead head on it. How are you guys fishing them?
Thanks for the info. I almost tried a carolina rig, it worked pretty well in freshwater for largemouths. Need to get down there again this weekend. Hopefully Friday night.
was over by the state policeback at it.... 1 small blue on a 5" ark shiner fin s 1 oz jig head right off the bridge... around 7.small blues all over the place beating up the bait fish... going back out around 1130 hope to get some bass or weakies

Need to get down there again this weekend. Hopefully Friday night. Same concept, just different bait. In saltwater a Carolina Rig = Fishfinder Rig and is used more for live bait techniques. Texas Rig would work on the Fin-S, probably just as well, however weighted jig heads seem to be the key. I keep a few of each size in my lure bag and pick one based on the current.Eventually the bass should be moving out and you may see more action at the Inlet as opposed to the Canal, so keep an ear out for that. As Fall approaches and the Fall Run progresses, a lot of those bass will move out and into the ocean. Good Luck!
I think a carolina rig is more like a drop shot though i may be wrong...
