Caught aboard the ScrappyCat out of Hoffmans Marina, with Captain Mike Mills and Mate John Mills. The fish was caught trolling next to the pots between Monster Ledge and the Sea Girt Reef.

Although this catch looks small... It is a rare Northern Kingfish measuring 17" weighing 2 1/2 lbs. Caught right out of Keyport on the Irish Rover 2 by Ricky Gross and Capt. Bobby Petner. Just a preview of the great fishing that N.J. has to offer.

The fish was caught around sandy hook towards Ambrose channel on a white 6oz bucktail. With a teaser above, rigged with a pink plastic squid, pink bucktail hair and 7" pink gulp belly strip.
